Allen Lueking "caged in" Allen Lueking, Tom Gill (middle) and Jan Gill Boxes & Duct Tape & Rope - Oh My!!

These are some pictures of us in Kansas City loading the dog and cat cages at Shor-Line.  Jan and Tom Gill, Allen and I (Shirley) made the trip.  Tom’s trailer and load were evenly spaced, all the same sized crates.  Our trailer had various sizes cages and the load was difficult to secure.  Plus we got into wind and rain showers that melted the cardboard.  The ever popular duct-tape even blew off.  All the crates arrived in Sullivan safely but Allen and I looked like Ma and Pa Kettle Moving.  Allen, being the surgeon who knows knots, had the crates tied down with orange rope, white rope and a variety of tie downs.  Every knot held.  The best part of the trip was dinner at Jack Stack’s Kansas City Bar-B-Que restaurant.
